Note from the Director

Gordon Kay with his wife Patricia, daughter and son-in-law

Dear Customers,

I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for someone who has meant so much to Airbus Helicopters as well as, the aviation community, not only Canada, but on an international scale.

Gordon Kay, Director of North America for Complex S&S Sales and Used aircraft, has decided to retire after 43 years of service in the aviation industry.

Gordon began his career as an AME in 1973 for fixed wing aircraft. Shortly thereafter, his interest in helicopters led him to a new en devour as Quality Inspector and then Supervisor for an aviation company based in Dorval, QC.

In 1994, Gordon moved with his family to Ontario to work at Eurocopter as the Repair & Overhaul Shop Coordinator, eventually taking charge of Aircraft Assembly and Flight Line.

In 2000, Gordon was promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing. In 2004, he became Director of Customer Support and in 2014, he assumed the role of Director for North America for Complex S&S Sales and Used Aircraft.

Gordon has had an impressive career to say the least. He is the one that taught me the most in this business and is someone with an incredible amount of integrity.

For those of you who will be attending HAC in Edmonton this year, please be sure to stop by our booth to extend your congratulations and best wishes to Gordon!

Kind regards,

Benoit Marcoux
Director, Support & Services
