With over 125 people registered, the symposium has grown in popularity every year.

The symposium was a success, with a full, engaged room from the early first session to the evening’s last panel.

Niagara Helicopters has had a continuous focus on improving safety throughout its 50 years in operation, including being one of the first operators in Canada to voluntarily implement Safety Management Systems (SMS).


As flash flood waters raged across Northeast Pennsylvania, a Pennsylvania National Guard Airbus Helicopters UH-72A Lakota circled above.

Flying some 800 feet above ground, the aircraft’s three-person crew provided critical assistance to emergency responders and helped to save about a dozen lives during the sudden summer floods.
