Airbus Helicopters has put programs in place to reduce the use of hazardous materials in production, lower emissions and cut energy use.

The corporation’s Bluecopter technology initiative focuses on developing quieter helicopters with lower emissions and on reducing the company’s environmental footprint.

Airbus Helicopters Canada, formerly Eurocopter Canada, received ISO 14001 certification in early 2013. ISO 14001 is an international, voluntary Environmental Management System (EMS) standard. This standard requires companies to identify environmental impacts and establish programs to effectively control and reduce those impacts.
