Airbus Helicopters tracks performance of its Supply Chain & Spare Parts Support through several indicators:

On Time Delivery (OTD) – Measures the number of parts delivered as per Airbus Helicopters indicated date (measured in percent).

On Time Request (OTR) – Measures the number of parts delivered as per customer requested date (measured in percent.)

Fill Rate (FR) – Measures the number of parts Airbus Helicopters was able to ship from stock in either AOG or Rush requirements.


We are pleased to report that 2014 showed positive improvement in all performance measures. On Time Delivery has been steadily improving since 2012 to a record level in 2014 of 97% of parts delivered on time as promised for the year. Airbus Helicopters’ ability to deliver parts on dates requested by our customers has also been steadily improving and has reached a record level of 93% for 2014 (+3% from 2013).

Airbus Helicopters Group has recently dedicated 33M€ to increase global spares stock, contributing to our ability to attain a fill rate performance of approximately 90% for 2014 (+4% over 2013).  In regards to stock shortages, in 2014 back orders have been reduced to less than 13% by line items (an improvement of nearly 3% over 2013) and we continue to review these backorders and AOG’s on a weekly basis to optimize parts allocation and ensure that parts are being dispatched in terms of customer priority.
